The foundation is grateful to the many Delaware County residents who have stepped forward as founding donors since we launched in late 2016, and to the government, business and private funders who support our evidence-based, high impact programs. Please join our email list and consider donating to support our efforts. Listed below are the foundation’s current areas of focus:

Breast feeding support is part of Women's and Children's Programs, one of the foundation areas of focus.

Improving Maternal and Child Health

Having a baby can be a frightening and isolating experience, especially for first-time mothers living in poverty. The foundation is proud to provide three maternal and children’s health programs that serve more than 10,000 Delaware County residents. Girls Night Out is part of our work to support men and women with cancer, one of the foundation areas of focus.

Support for Men and Women with Cancer

The foundation battles cancer in several ways. With help from the Susan G. Komen Philadelphia, we help provide free mammograms and breast cancer screening. Joining with Unite for Her, we support integrative and alternative therapies for women with breast cancer. And we assist those whose cancer diagnosis creates financial challenges. More than 600 women help each year by attending Girls Night Out. Learn more.

Inspiring teens to succeed is one of the foundation areas of focus.

Inspiring Teens to Succeed

For teens growing up in Chester, dreams are often hindered by poverty and their inability to access a quality education. In fact, Chester has the lowest-performing school district in Pennsylvania. Two programs of the foundation are tackling issues that directly impact teens. Learn more about the Health Resource Center and the Drug Free Communities campaign.

Helping seniors age in place is one of the foundation areas of focus.

Helping Seniors Age in Place

Many Delaware County residents have caregiving roles they’re unprepared for psychologically or financially. The foundation has funds to assist seniors needing home care and hospice services. The funds are available both to support caregivers and train home health professionals. Also, we advocate for Medicare reform on the state and federal level. These efforts are an evolving area of interest for the foundation. You can help now by making a donation and choosing “Hospice and Home Care” in the “Gift designation” box.
