Delaware County residents deserve a community foundation where resources are prudently invested so their legacy will last for generations.
Our investment strategy focuses on seeking the best possible risk-adjusted return. We accomplish this by maximizing dollars available to fund critical work in our county right now, while prudently stewarding and growing resources to maintain a source of philanthropic capital that will meet emerging needs well into the future.
We remain committed to responsible stewardship, transparency, and public accountability in all that we do. Our professional investment managers meet at least quarterly with the foundation’s Investment Committee to assess performance and adjust strategic approaches as needed.
Our Finance Committee monitors quarterly financial progress, and reviews and recommends to the board an annual budget that has been met and in fact exceeded in each of the foundation’s five years of operation. An Audit Committee oversees the work of the foundation’s independent auditor, with all audits and 990 IRS tax filings available for your review below.
The foundation invests all of its equity investments and a portion of its fixed income investments into a menu of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) funds to align our investment strategy with the foundation’s overall mission.
