Ellen Grill joined The Foundation for Delaware County in August 2017, working with the leadership team to build a program that supports the strategic goals of the foundation. Ellen is the foundation’s first Vice President for Advancement and Philanthropic Services. Since joining the foundation, Ellen has managed all fundraising and communications activity, hiring and working with talented team members; guided the successful application process for accreditation and established the foundation’s philanthropic services program.
Prior to joining the foundation, Ellen spent 30 years working as a fundraising professional, most recently serving as the Associate Director of Development for The Riddle HealthCare Foundation, part of the Main Line Health System. Prior to joining Riddle, she worked for nearly 15 years as a consultant to nonprofit organizations, primarily in the Philadelphia area, providing strategic development services including fundraising counsel, board development, public relations, and marketing.
Ellen holds an undergraduate degree in speech communication from East Stroudsburg University and a MS in human organization, with a concentration in public administration from Villanova University. She is a graduate of Inner Source Healing in Malvern, a program of self-transformation, spiritual development and healership. She currently serves as vice chair of the school’s board of directors.
Ellen resides in Malvern, Pennsylvania with her husband. She is the proud mother of two grown sons and has four grandchildren.
