Mothers, babies and families in Delaware County have been enrolling in supportive services through Women’s and Children’s Health Services (WCHS) for 25 years. Participating families, past and present, joined us Saturday for a Family Reunion to celebrate decades of birthing healthy babies and growing strong families.
Among the festivities was a Baby Buggy Walk and Decorated Stroller Contest. First prize, a 3-month family membership to the Rocky Run YMCA in Media, PA was awarded to Keshla Cruz, who attended the event with her son Johndiel Rivera, age two, and baby Jordielyz, age 9 months.
WCHS provides home visiting case management and nurse programs to women during pregnancy and children under the age of 2. Thousands of families in Delaware County have been a part of these programs since 1997.
