Center for Nonprofit Excellence Learning Opportunity: Black-Led Nonprofit Forum

The Foundation’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNEx) is excited to host our third annual, Black-Led Nonprofit Forum at Neumann University on Tuesday, February 25. This year’s theme, “Where Do We Go From Here,” harkens back to the question Martin Luther King Jr asked in his landmark 1967 book, “Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?”

The forum will consist of lunch and two sessions that ask our panelists and attendees to consider two central questions:

  1. Where are we now?: How might the present political moment deepen the disparities that exist for Black-led nonprofits and Black communities in Delaware County?
  2. Where do we go from here? What strategies can Black-led and other nonprofits/funders that center racial equity employ to meet the challenges that lay ahead for their organizations and communities we seek to serve?

We believe that the theme and questions posed at this forum are very timely given the attacks on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging efforts. While we do not offer easy answers to these questions, we hope that the 2025 Black-Led Nonprofit Forum will help advance a needed conversation in our county.
