Laura DeFlavia comes to The Foundation for Delaware County after serving as the Controller for the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation (PAHWF) for 13 years. At PAHWF, she managed $82 million dollars of foundation investments and $56 million dollars of investments for its defined benefit pension plan.

Throughout her career, DeFlavia has worked in public accounting, serving various industries, including nonprofits, retail, manufacturing, service organizations and government entities. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) and The Pennsylvania Institute of Public Accounts (PICPA).

DeFlavia served on the board of St. Eleanor’s Catholic Youth Organization as treasurer from 2007-2016. She also served as head coach for the Girls on the Run program at Upper Providence Elementary School from 2011 to 2015. Most recently, DeFlavia served on the Spring-Ford Area School District Health & Wellness Council from 2013-2017.

A graduate of Cabrini University, DeFlavia holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in marketing, receiving the PICPA Award for Excellence in accounting studies. DeFlavia resides in Collegeville, PA, with her husband, Vince, and two daughters, Alyssa and Gianna. In her spare time, she enjoys running, biking, reading, traveling with family and friends and spending as much time as possible in Ocean City, NJ.
