Stork’s Nest is an incentive-based, prenatal health promotion program for low-income pregnant women. It is a national partnership between Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the March of Dimes that encourages women to make and keep prenatal care appointments and participate in prenatal educational classes. The program in Chester is run by the Rho Chi Zeta chapter of the sorority and in partnership with The Foundation for Delaware County’s programs – Healthy Start, Nurse-Family Partnership and the Delaware County WIC Program.

Strong African American Families (SAAF) is a culturally tailored, family-centered intervention for African American youth (age 10-14) and their primary caregivers. The goal is to prevent substance use and behavior problems among youth by strengthening positive family interact ions, preparing youth for their teen years, and enhancing primary caregivers’ efforts to help youth reach positive goals.
