2025 Grants

A Child’s Light: $2,500 to expand access to mental health support and therapeutic resources for children and adolescents in Delaware County.

A Moment of Magic: $2,500 to deliver high-quality psychosocial education and training to student volunteers.

Center for Integration and Migrant Support: $2,500 to strengthen community outreach and engagement for a GED preparation program in Delaware County.

CMPRadio Foundation: $2,500 to purchase equipment that will enhance efforts to empower youth, families, and neighborhoods in Chester and Delaware County through media, education, and authentic community engagement.

Defy Ventures: $2,500 to support SCI-Chester programming that shifts perceptions about individuals with criminal records and provides participants with a meaningful second chance.

Families Creating Communities for Adults with Special Needs (Families CCAN): $2,500 to expand support programs for individuals with disabilities aged 16+ and their families in Delaware County.

Folcroft Public Library: $2,500 to advance free and equitable access to information, ideas, and learning opportunities.

Kelly Music for Life: $2,500 to strengthen community cohesion through music and the arts by supporting PATH students with stipends.

Legacy Arts: $2,500 to empower Chester youth through arts-based programming.

Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry: $2,500 to assist with the purchase of a refrigerated food locker to support safe food distribution.

Purple House Project: $2,500 to support the purchase and renovation of space dedicated to preventing intimate partner violence.

Well Rooted: $2,500 to recruit and train new mentors who will nurture and empower young adults and families entering, exiting, or involved in the foster system.

2024 Grants

Centro de Apoyo Comunitario: $4,000

To support technical upgrades, including internet service and video technology, enabling facilitation of programs and events and increasing capacity to serve other community organizations.

Leveling the Playing Field: $4,000

To provide female athletes in Delaware County with a new sports bra, equipping them to enjoy all the mental and physical benefits that come with playing sports.

Health Educated, Inc.$4,000

To launch a pilot project to introduce preventative measures that prevent hazardous levels of lead exposure to families.

Lansdowne Economic Development Corp. (LEDC): $2,000

To support combining the MakerSpace into the Utility Works building, creating a multi-purpose workspace that furthers LEDC’s mission of fostering equitable access to arts education, professional development, and business incubation for creatives of all backgrounds.

Fostering Hope Delco: $2,000

Towards operating expenses, including rent, increasing storage capacity, purchasing consumable hygiene products, and supporting partnership-building through community engagement.

William Trippley Youth Development Foundation: $2,000

To support the 2025 expansion of Camp Encouragement, a free, vital resource for grieving children in Chester, PA, and the surrounding area.

Chester Upland Youth Soccer/Youth Development United (YDU): $1,000

To support the purchase and installation of a bike maintenance station at Eyre Park, in furtherance of YDU’s efforts to increase access to cycling for children and families.                   

Campbell Community Center: $1,000

To restore the water-damaged kitchen to fully functional, safe, and sanitary conditions, enabling continued community service meal programs, entrepreneurship training, and local chef pop-ups. (This funding was made possible through a grant from The Billings Fund held at The Foundation for Delaware County.)

Pals for Life Association: $1,000

To increase its pet therapy programing, including Read to Pet Pals, in Delaware County schools and libraries.

Trinity Transitional House: $1,000                                          

To support its operations, including providing hotel and food vouchers, clothing, and baby items to women and children fleeing domestic violence and facing housing instability.

Loaves of Love Food Pantry: $700

To provide families with fresh meat, eggs, fruits, and vegetables, in addition to the shelf-stable items already provided by the pantry.
