Stork's Nest

Stork’s Nest is focused on increasing the number of women receiving early and regular prenatal care to prevent cases of low birthweight, premature births, and infant deaths. It is a 40-year collaborative project of the March of Dimes Foundation and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and is offered through the sorority’s Chester chapter, Rho Chi Zeta.

The program employs education and incentives to promote early and adequate prenatal care and encourage healthy behaviors during pregnancy. Clients can earn points toward incentives – such as maternity or baby care items – through a variety of positive, health-promoting activities, including:

  • Attending prenatal visits
  • Participating in prenatal education classes
  • Committing to ending at-risk, unhealthy
  • Learning stress-reduction techniques

Consider our home visiting programs, Healthy Start and Nurse Family Partnership that are here to support you with improved maternal and children’s health care.
