We’re ready to partner with you.
At The Foundation for Delaware County, we promote generosity by working in partnership with those who are charitably-inclined, along with their professional advisors.
Often, the charitable conversation begins with a discussion around estate planning – at a time when a generous individual, couple, or family is ready to give back in a meaningful way and establish philanthropy as part of their legacy.
While many donors have come to us upon the recommendation of their financial advisor, there are often instances when your clients may not be aware that they have the ability to be philanthropic through their estate planning – and that there are tax benefits associated with this. We are here to help you determine when to explore your clients’ philanthropic goals and values and involve a philanthropic advisor from the foundation in your team.
There are several ways we can achieve this. We can provide information and guidance for you to share with your clients, or we could even join you in a meeting. You can also refer them directly to us for the initial conversation. We will listen carefully and help them consider their options, while never losing sight that they are your client. And we always encourage prospective donors to consult with you before committing to establishing a fund or making a planned gift.
Our Professional Advisors Council, consisting of estate planning attorneys, financial advisors, and CPAs, provides the foundation with advice and networking support. The members recognize our strong leadership in Delaware County and care about the growth of our philanthropic services. We’re grateful for their support.
