The foundation launched the Delaware County COVID-19 Response Fund on March 13, 2020, to provide resources for nonprofits serving vulnerable residents across our county.

The COVID-19 crisis has had vastly disproportionate health, economic, and social impacts on vulnerable citizens, particularly disadvantaged communities — including older adults, people with compromised immune systems, low-wage workers, and the homeless. The Response Fund identified local nonprofit organizations that have proven track records and are trusted by the communities that are most disproportionately affected by this crisis.

The foundation is pleased to announce that it recently met its $1M goal for the Delaware County COVID-19 Response Fund and has completed the fund’s grantmaking with the deployment of 98 grants to local nonprofits. Foundation Chief Impact Officer, Joanne Craig responded with this special message:

“We are so grateful to every individual, family, business, and foundation that stepped forward to support the Delaware County nonprofit community through the foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund. We could not have provided this support without you. This funding has been a lifeline for nonprofits as they have worked to meet the needs of those most impacted by the pandemic.”
